Sony Cube CRT 21"

£0.00

The Sony ProFeel Pro (1986) introduced a distinctive design departure within Sony’s range of monitors by adopting a true cuboid form. Unlike earlier models, which featured a narrower rear edge compared to the front, the ProFeel Pro presents a uniform rectangular casing where the back and front dimensions are identical. This clean, cubic shape cleverly conceals the operational components inside the rear frame, giving the monitor a sleek, streamlined appearance.

The cuboid design is not just aesthetic; it offers practical benefits as well. It allows for easy stacking of multiple units, making the monitors highly suitable for exhibition and multi-screen setups. Additionally, the casing doubles as a convenient grip-bar, simplifying the process of transporting the unit.

Technically, the Sony ProFeel Pro includes a 21-inch (545 mm) Trinitron CRT with a visible picture size of 20 inches (506 mm) measured diagonally. It supports PAL, SECAM, NTSC, and NTSC 4.43 color systems with automatic selection, and it achieves a resolution of 600 TV lines at the center. The monitor features factory preset color temperatures of 3200K, 6500K, and 9300K, with 6500K as the default setting.

Audio output is rated at 7 W + 7 W into 8 to 16 Ω speakers. The unit operates on 220 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, consuming approximately 165 W under typical use and a maximum of 180 W. Its operating temperature range is 0 to 35° C (32 to 95° F).

Measuring 51.6 cm in width, 40.9 cm in height, and 48.2 cm in depth, with a plinth dimension of 51.6 × 44 cm, the ProFeel Pro weighs roughly 30.6 kg (67 lb 46 oz). Video inputs include composite and Y/C formats with loop-through capability, supporting automatic 75 Ω termination. Audio inputs are provided as loop-through phono connectors, with a high impedance level at -5 dBu.

Optional accessories include the SS-X6A speaker system, enhancing the monitor’s audio capabilities for professional use. Overall, the Sony ProFeel Pro's thoughtful design and robust specifications make it a versatile and functional choice for professional display environments.
